Football Camp & Cheer Camp

Churchill County Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer our annual Summer Youth Football and Cheer Camp. We’ve partnered with local coaches to provide a week-long skills development camp for youth ages 5 and up. Skills taught include blocking, tackling, ball handling, catching, terminology, routines, stunts, cheers, and more!

Youth from all groups and leagues are invited to participate.

2021 Youth Football Camp

July 19th—23rd
Mon.: 5:30-8 p.m.
Tues.-Fri.: 6—8 p.m.
Ages: 5—14 
Cost: $50.00
Location: Churchill County High School

2021 Youth Cheer Camp

July 26th—28th
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Ages: 5 and Up
Cost: $25.00
Location: Multi-Purpose Building at the Churchill County Fairgrounds

Youth Volleyball Camp

Summer Youth Volleyball Camp is an excellent opportunity for beginners and advanced players alike. Open to youth is grades 4 through 7, instructor Tristin Johnson will provide a three day program of hands-on instruction in teamwork and technique. Competitive athletes and recreation players will all benefit from this valuable camp!

2022 Dates & Times:
July 27-29, 2021
9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

All participants will get a camp tank top and a volleyball of their own!

Fastpitch Softball - Pitching Clinic

Churchill County Parks and Recreation invites you to join instructor Tammie Shemenski for winter instruction on fastpitch softball pitching. This clinic will help girls ages 6 to 18 develop skills for softball season. The clinic will take place at the City-County Gymnasium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Register in person at the Churchill County Parks and Recreation Office, 325 Sheckler Road, Fallon, NV.

2022 Dates:
January 11th - March 3rd, 2022

Ages and Times:
- 6 to 12 years old: Tuesday/Thursday, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
- 13 to 18 years old: Tuesday/Thursday, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

$50.00 per athlete

Bring a glove and wear sneakers to the gym (preferabley white-soled shoes, absolutely no cleats!) 
A parent must stay at the clinic during the 6 to 12 age group practices at all times. 
Athletes are asked to bring a catcher if possible to allow for more practice time for each particpant.

2022 Location & Dates:

  • Sky Tavern Ski School
  • 4 Saturdays: January 15, 22, 29 & February 5
    (2/12 will be a contingency date)


  • $225.00/child. Inlcudes transportation, lessons, rentals, & lift badge.

Package Details:

  • 4 trips with lift passes
  • Ski/Board rental (if needed)
  • Daily Lesson
  • Transportation
  • Chaperones

Program Notes:

  • For children ages 8-17
  • Participants must wear a helmet. Helmets ARE NOT provided with the rental, and will need to be supplied by the particpant.

How to Register

Register first with Churchill County Parks and Recreation. Once registered with us, we will provide a purchase code to order your child's lift pass and fill out waivers/sizing information on Sky Tavern's website.
