EXEMPTIONS

The office enrolls all eligible individuals in exemption programs for widows, widowers, veterans, and disabled veterans, as well as providing an exemption for the blind. We are currently enrolling new applicants as well as maintaining all records for continued enrollment.

This office also verifies the eligibility of exemption holders to DMV, for those who elect to use their exemption on their motor vehicles.

SENIOR CITIZEN
TAX ASSISTANCE/REBATE PROGRAM

Tax Assistance

The Assessor's Office enrolls eligible seniors in this state program and assists in continued enrollment. There are 260 plus Churchill County seniors currently enrolled in this program. Seniors must be 62 years of age, on or before June 30th, and make less than $24,016 yearly household income from all sources. (The income amount is adjusted on a yearly basis.), must have lived continuously, in Nevada from July 1st of the preceding year and be a Nevada resident, in order to qualify.
