Description:

Churchill County (“County”) is currently considering purchasing the Fallon Golf Course.  As part of the process, the County has determined that is in its best interests to obtain proposals from qualified companies or individuals to potentially operate the facility should it be successful in the acquisition.  Therefore, the County is requesting Proposals from qualified and experienced companies/individuals (“Operators’) for providing professional operating services for The Fallon Golf Course.  The professional services have been set forth in this Request for Proposals and include:

  • Pro Shop Management
  • Restaurant/Concession Management
  • Golf Course Maintenance and Management

 

The County will accept proposals for any single or combination of full service Management Agreement and Lease. Operators are welcome to submit for one or both of the available options.  The initial term for all options will be 5 years. Through a combination of evaluations and interviews, the County will choose the Operator who will best serve the interests of the County.

Interested persons are encouraged to contact the current golf course operators to obtain a better understanding of the operations and maintenance of the golf course and related facilities.  The Golf Course Superintendent / General Manager is Jeff Lockwood.  He can be reached at the Fallon Golf Course, 2655 Country Club Drive or (775) 423-4616.  Proposers are encouraged to schedule and take advantage of a non-mandatory golf course and facility inspection during the week of January 7th to 11th.

TIME SCHEDULE. The County will follow the following timetable, which should result in a selection of golf course management by February 8, 2013, with an anticipated contract start date of March 1, 2013 if the County purchases the golf course.

Publish in newspaper at least two times prior to February 1, 2013

Deadline for Submittal of Proposals 10:00 am, February 1, 2013

Contract Award February 7, 2013

 To ensure consideration of your RFP, response to the RFP must be received by 10:00 am on February 1, 2013. No faxed, email, or telephone applications will be accepted.  Any responses received after 10:00 am on February 1, 2013 will not be considered.
