Churchill County’s first water treatment facility began operation in September 2007. Planning and funding for this facility was a cooperative effort between Churchill County, USDA, the State and developers. This plant has capacity to supply water for up to 1300 homes and businesses plus adequate fire suppression flow for the service area.
The primary function of the treatment facility is to meet water quality standards as required by the Safe Drinking Water Act. Since its inception the water treatment plant has provided water of exceptional quality, in fact it is the
highest quality drinking water in the state of Nevada.
