Churchill County Parks and Recreation has teamed up with the Arts Center to bring you a whole list of exciting arts classes for the community.  The classes will range from activities for youth to adults to the whole family.  Be sure to get involved in the fun Paint and Wine nights as well as specialty teachings like calligraphy or wood burning.

Be sure to check in with the Parks and Recreation Office at 423-7733 to get a list of the next classes being offered.

Current upcoming classes include:

Bombers, Babes and Beer - May 7
    This class will be a chance for people to come in and have a fun night out.  You will get to celebrate the World War II bomber planes of the past.  On canvas, students will be taught step by step on how to stencil on their own plane and create a group of images to decorate the side of their "plane" much like the bombardiers of the past.  Class will be $35 per person.  Hosted from 6-9pm.

Glass Etching - May 12
    Students will be taught simple techniques to create simple designs on glass objects and have something fun to bring home.  Class will be $75 per person and taught from 6-8pm.

Color Basics - May 14 and June 11
    In color basics, we will explore the color wheel and what happens when colors are mixed together.  This is a fun hands-on course for our younger artists.  Combine colors and learn to pick warm colors from cool colors.  Class will be $25 per person for either class.  Hosted from 1-2 pm for ages 6 - 11 and from 2:30pm - 3:30pm for artists ages 12 and up.

Script Writing - 6 week course (May 2 - June 13)
    Intro to script writing is designed to help student on the creative journey to writing their own scripts.   The course is designed for students who want to tap into their creative side.  This class will be $150 per person for the entire 6 week session.  Class will be held 7:00 - 8:30pm each night on Monday evenings.
