* PUBLIC HEARINGS 7:10 p.m. STEVE & MICHAELE ATKINSON – An application for a special use permit for property located at 1717 Bell-Aire Lane, Assessor’s Parcel Number 010-412-07 consisting of 5 acres of non-water righted property located in the A-5 land use district. The applicant is requesting a special use permit under Chapter 16.08.140.D of the Churchill County Code to legalize their existing home-based AKC Golden Retriever dog breeding business. They have four breeding females, one spayed female and two males and average about 16 puppies per year. The applicant is requesting a special use permit under Chapter 16.08.150.D of the Churchill County Code to expand the existing geothermal operation. They would like to construct and operate the Stillwater II Geothermal Project, a 29 MW (net) binary geothermal electrical generation facility and geothermal well field expansion project, adjacent to the existing Stillwater I Geothermal Power Plant. The existing 60 kV transmission line and substation will be utilized by the new facility. EnelStillwaterLLCSUPApplication.pdf 7:40 p.m. ENEL SALT WELLS, LLC – An application for a special use permit for property located on the Federal Lease Hold in the Salt Wells Basin, about five miles south of the Austin Highway, a portion of Assessor’s Parcel Number 009-032-30, consisting of 3,794 acres of non-water righted property located in the RR-20 land use district. The applicant is requesting a special use permit under Chapter 16.08.220.D of the Churchill County Code to construct and operate the Salt Wells Geothermal Project, a 15 MW (net) binary geothermal electrical generation facility and geothermal well field expansion project. They will utilize the existing 230 kV transmission line that connects Ft. Churchill Substation and the Austin Substation. The applicant is requesting a variance from Chapter 16.16.020.1 of the Churchill County Code to split the property into three parcels, one being a very irregular shaped parcel less than 200-feet wide due to the existing TCID infrastructure on both sides of the parcel.
