SHERIFF'S COSTS/FEES
FOR SERVING PROCESS
Effective October 1, 2001
Pursuant to NRS 248.275 as amended 2001

For service of summons, small claims, or other process by which an action is commenced, for every defendant served, plus mileage set forth below.	$17.00
For serving every rule or order, plus mileage.	$15.00
For serving one notice before eviction, plus mileage.	$26.00
For serving subpoena, for each witness, plus mileage.	$15.00
For serving attachment or execution, plus mileage.	$17.00
For posting notices of sales on execution.	$15.00
For mailing notices of execution.	$2.00
For traveling in attempt at service of any of the above papers IN ADDITION to the above fees, the following schedule will apply ($2.00/mile one way):

For commission for receiving money where land or personal property have been sold: $500, 4%; on any sum in excess of $500, and not exceeding $1,000, 2%; on all sums above that amount, 1%.

FINGERPRINT FEES

If fingerprints must be sent to the State Criminal History Repository there is a $40.25 charge which must be paid by either money order or cash to Churchill County Sheriff's Office. There is a $25.00 fee for the Renewal of Sex Offender Registration.

CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMITS

There is a 120 day turn-around period for the FBI to return fingerprint cards. There is a $60.00 county fee for a Concealed Weapons Permit, plus the $40.25 state/federal fingerprint fee (paid separately by either money order or cashier's check) for the original permit. There is a $10.00 fee for any change of information on the card that the concealed weapon holder carries. Renewal fees are $25.00 county fee with a $40.25 state federal finger print fee (again paid separately by either money order of cashiers check made out to the Nevada Highway Patrol).

REPORTS

There is a $2.00 fee for all reports (e.g.: accident, crime, coroners, etc.).
