VA CLINIC COMING TO FALLON!
It brings me great pleasure to notify you that VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) has received approval to open a community clinic in Fallon, Nevada. The clinic will be VA-staffed and located in the greater Fallon area in leased medical space.
WHAT SERVICES WILL THE CLINIC PROVIDE?
The clinic will provide scheduled appointments for non-emergent primary care and mental health services during regular business hours of Monday through Friday...

MEDIA ADVISORY
The Nevada Office of Veterans Services announces that starting April 3rd the Fallon Benefit Service Office will be open full time. Veteran Service Officer, Jeanette Rae, who has been operating the Fallon Office on a part time basis 2 days per week since August 2001 will now be available for appointments 4 days per week. She will still need to go to the VA Regional Office in Reno one day per week to hold hearings and review files.
Jeanette will now also be tasked with providing in-person outreach to the rural communities of North-Eastern Nevada. The first of such outreach trips will occur from April 11th through April 14th. Jeanette will visit the communities of Winnemucca, Elko, Ely and Austin to provide in-person benefit assistance to veterans in those and the surrounding communities.

dedicated message line to reserve rides on the Veteran’s Van to the VA
Hospital in Reno 775/426-0010. Veteran’s and/or their
dependents with hospital appointments call the above number and leave
their name, phone number and date and time of their appointment. Please try to schedule your
reservation at least 2 days in advance.

LOCATIONS!!!
Pick-up in Fallon is either at the VFW hall parking lot or
the parking lot next to Jerry Restaurant. In Fernley, pick-up is at the
Wig Wam parking lot. In Silver Springs, pick-up on Monday or Friday is
at Piper's parking lot. On Tues, Wed or Thurs - Silver Springs Veterans
need to call the Hawthorne Van Coordinator Charles Burnell at
775-945-2591 and pick-up is at the Nugget parking lot.

Korean Service
Medals: Eligibility requires service between 6/25/50 - 7/27/53 with
permanent or TDY assignment of 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days
within the territorial limits of Korea, or in the adjacent waters, or in
aerial flight over Korea. While I no longer have any Korean Service
Medals here in the office - I can type the application letter to request
one be mailed to you from the Air Force. Just bring me your DD214 or
Discharge Certificate. Family members of deceased veterans may also
receive the medal with the appropriate paperwork.. Click here for more
