The test results for the County Water System well located at Sand Creek are in! They show the initial drinking water test results from the well and the storage tank, drinking water test results after going the treatment system once, and the pesticide and radioactivity test results for the well at Sand Creek.
Rates & Charges
The Churchill County Board of County Commissioners has approved a schedule of rates and charges for the County Water and Sewer system. These will become effective July 1, 2007. Click the appropriate link below to download the new ordinances.
Phase I of the Churchill County Water System
On 4 August 2006, Churchill County became responsible for taking over the operation, maintenance, and administration of the Pine Grove Water System. In March 2007 it is anticipated that the construction of the first Phase of expansion of the County owned and operated municipal system, that includes water treatment for arsenic and manganese removal and infrastructure replacement for the prior Pine Grove and Country Club Estates water systems, will be fully operational. At commencement of the operation of this system expansion there will be approximately 350 accounts including Country Club Estates, the Pine Grove Subdivision, the Sand Creek Development, 2 mobile home parks and several commercial accounts in the vicinity. The plant at Sand Creek will be capable of delivering water for fire suppression at any time to the service area. This plant was designed and constructed to satisfy AWWA and EPA standards.
Phase I of the Churchill County Waste Water Treatment Facility
The Churchill County Waste Water Treatment Facility is located on the Golf Course at Fallon. This facility serves the Pine Grove Subdivision, the Sand Creek Development and several commercial accounts in the vicinity.
Churchill County has contracted with SPB Utilities to manage billing and to operate the water and sewer systems. During normal business hours you can contact them at 1-800-706-6531. For after-hours emergencies you can reach them at 775-325-0782.
