Churchill County Social Services' goal is to facilitate the self-sufficiency of program recipients. Our emergency, temporary assistance programs provide for the health and welfare of eligible county residents.

Churchill County prides itself on being a Community Action Agency and is dedicated to providing information, referrals, and volunteer opportunities to our residents.
Our Services Include:
- Emergency Rent and Utilities Assistance to avoid eviction or disconnect
- Supplementary Food Programs
- Utility Deposit Assistance
- Indigent Medical and Prescription Assistance
- Indigent Burial / Cremation
- Homeless Housing Assistance:
- Emergency One Night Lodging
- Housing Counseling Service
- Short-Term Transitional Housing (up to 14 days)
- Short-Term Transitional Housing Expansion Program (up to 6 months)
- Long-Term Transitional Housing Program (up to 24 months)
Intake Site Services Include:
- Nevada Rural Housing Authority –security deposit and Section 8 assistance
- Emergency Assistance Program – annual utility service assistance
- Homeowner Rehabilitation and Weatherization Programs
- Salvation Army - Energy Share Program
