The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 3rd at 8:15 a.m. to consider the adoption of Bill 2008-A Ordinance 22, 32 & 71.

The proposed ordinance amendment establishes water right dedication requirements for land development and construction when connecting to the County Water System.

The ordinance amendment also makes some revisions to the existing water right dedication requirements existing in Title 16, Consolidated Development Code.

The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 05-08 revising map application fees and some permit application fees. Since the adoption of the Consolidated Development Code in 2005 and adoption of Resolution 04-05, various costs associated with the review and processing of maps and permit applications have increased. Map review entails review and coordination with several state and county staff and review and signature by the County Surveyor. Permit applications, likewise, often involve review by several County staff, on-site visits and increased notification of property owners in the vicinity of the application. This change in fees will be effective starting June 1, 2008. Click here to Download the Resolution.

Effective October 1, 2007, in accordance with the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, Public Law 109-171 and Chapter 425 of the Nevada Revised Statutes, the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services shall impose an annual $25 fee for each child support case in which the custodian has never received public assistance and the state has collected at least $500 in child support during the federal fiscal year, October 1st to September 30th. Churchill County Recorder Official Records are now available online 2007 forward. The Recorder's office is pleased to announce the release of documents online for public access in your own home or business. February 8, 2007: Vicky L. Tripp, the newly elected Churchill County Recorder is pleased to announce Internet access to the Churchill County Official 'recorded' documents. Besides the 2007 documents the public will also be able to pull up any recorded map and corner records from as early as 1904 to current. The Recorders office will continue to provide copies of these documents at the public's request; but felt it would benefit the community by allowing easier access without having to make a trip to their office. The documents displayed online will have an annotation 'Unofficial Copy' displayed prominently on the front of each page. Certain types of documents will be suppressed from display online if it is felt they provide too much personal information such as Social Security number, driver's license number, employer ID, etc. The upcoming state legislative session will further determine what types of information will be allowed or disallowed. Nevada Revised Statutes 239B.030 and 603A .040 will be followed until more specifics are delineated by Legislature. How to access this information: Go to churchillcounty.org /recorder First Browse button under the Recorders picture gives you access to the Grantor/Grantee index. Maps and corner records dated before 2007 will display by double clicking over the actual entry; then pressing the button labeled 'display document' in the right corner. You will need to allow 'pop ups' and have javascript software downloaded in order for you to see the document. We have provided downloadable javascript on the page that has the browse buttons. Documents 2007 forward will display by following the above instructions also.
