Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act Projects

3C Event Complex and Regional Park

Complete renovation of the county's current fairgrounds with a focus on improving facilities to expand the number of participants for outdoor animal events and activities. Includes expansion of arenas, multipurpose building, restrooms, concessions, field house, aquatic facility, shade structures, playgrounds, seating areas, parking, biking and walking paths, RV hook-ups, athletic field upgrades, beautification, event facilities and ADA and safety upgrades.

North Maine Street Youth Softball Complex 

Completely replace existing ballfield infrastructure to update and expand with more efficient facilities including fields, concessions, restrooms, field house, walking/biking paths and paved parking.

Oser Regional Park

New fields, bleachers, concession stands and the addition of a shared youth sports league building (see photo).

New District Courthouse

Contractor hired and plans drawn up for the new District Courthouse to replace the 1970s facility currently in use.

Rehabilitation of a former CC Communications building

New location for District Attorney's Office on Williams Avenue (see photo).

Churchill Animal Protection Society

In partnership with the City of Fallon, creating a new facility to host stray dogs and cats until new homes are found for them.

Purchase of a new building on South Maine Street

Renovations underway at 270 and 290 S. Maine Street to house Social Services and the Central Nevada Health District and provide for one-stop services (see photo).

Rehabilitation of the Drumm Building on South Maine Street

To house the Churchill Area Regional Transportation program.

County property on Coleman Road

Working with a developer to construct modern apartments on this property.
