Flood Modeling Maps
Modeling maps depicting suggested flood areas along the Carson River if uncontrolled water tops Lahontan Dam. Flood areas depicted by color at 1,000 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs) intervals from 2,000-5,000 cfs flowing over the dam into the Carson River.
Blue is current non-flood 1,000 cfs in Carson River.
Maps are large files, so we suggest zooming in to magnify a particular area. This is only modeling and many things can effect flow, including debris not accounted for through Lidar.
Sandbags - as of May 22: available for pick-up Mondays from 1-4 p.m. Please contact the Call Center at (775)867-5923 (or email: highwater2023@churchillcountynv.gov) with any questions. Leave a message and staff will return your call/email.
