Churchill County officials were notified today of a county resident who is an additional positive case of COVID-19. This brings the cumulative number of PCR-positive COVID cases to eight. Of those eight, six have already recovered, one died and this newest case is still active.
The latest patient is a male in his 30s who works outside of Churchill County. He is quarantining at home.
County officials will not be releasing additional information due to privacy laws.
County leadership urges the community to remain vigilant in fighting the virus by maintaining social distancing, washing your hands and avoiding groups of 50 or more per current Phase 2 guidelines.

- Symptomatic: 565 tests – 512 negatives, 45 pending, 6 recovered, 1 active positive (described above), 1 death
- Asymptomatic (at the fairgrounds): 642 tests – 593 negatives, 49 pending
