COVID testing dates and the vaccination clinic scheduled for the Churchill County Fairgrounds this week have been cancelled based on the incoming storm. This includes the testing events scheduled for Jan. 27, 28 and 29 and the vaccination event on Jan. 28, all at the fairgrounds.
The booster clinic will take place as planned on Jan. 28.
“We are canceling these events in the interest of safety and comfort for all those involved,” said County Manager Jim Barbee. “With testing and the vaccines being given outdoors at the fairgrounds, we didn’t want to subject our residents and staff to the expected wind, cold and snow or have them out on the roads trying to get to the fairgrounds.”
Testing and the vaccinations are expected to resume next week after this storm passes.
Please check the county website (www.churchillcountynv.gov) and its’ social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter) for the most current information and announcements on future vaccination dates.
