To improve public safety, portions of the U.S. 50/Williams Avenue eastbound outside lane and shoulder in Fallon from approximately Tedford Lane to Maine Street will be closed 24-hours-a-day, potentially up to seven-days-a-week starting April 6 through late spring. The closure is needed for the safety of drivers because the roadway narrows through the middle segment of the NDOT construction project.
Drivers will still have one eastbound lane still open. The work zone and traffic control will be in place, even when workers are not present, requiring a 24-hour closure at times. At least one business and residential access will be maintained. The lane closure may occur in two or three block segments and is subject to change.
