For more than 20 years, Churchill County has hosted the Jim Regan Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds for academic scholarships for county staff and their children. Regan was a county commissioner who was heavily involved in the community and died in office in April 2000.

2nd Place – Ed Smirnes, Andrew Palmer, Chad Munoz and Tomas Kutansky. Score: 55
3rd Place – Tim Openshaw, Quinn Cypher and Aaron Harvell. Score: 59.

Longest Drive – Andrew Palmer and Michelle White

The Jim Regan Memorial Tournament was conceived by former county Comptroller Alan Kalt and is today organized by Pam Moore in the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.

The tournament was sponsored by City of Fallon, Ormat Technologies, Churchill County, Banner Churchill Community Hospital, A & K Earth Movers, Inc.,  Churchill County Federal Credit Union, Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth P.C., Tedford Tire and Auto Service, Bassham Furniture, Evie Regan, Fallon Golf Course, Harmon Junction, Kent’s Supply, Les Schwab, Patti & Scott Hiatt, Western Big R, New Millennium Building Systems, Western Nevada Supply Company, Lahontan Valley Veterinary Clinic, Nugget/Bonanza, Out West Buildings, Hillside Dairy, Sheriff Richard Hickox, Terri Schultz, Vicki Paul, and Lonne Sheldon.
