[ARCHIVED] Churchill County Junior Livestock Show & Sale Returns to the Ring

The Churchill County Junior Livestock Show and Sale returns to the Rafter 3C Arena on April 27-29 and is a wonderful opportunity to see the best in local youth efforts in breeding, raising, and showing livestock.

The 2023 Churchill County Junior Livestock Show & Sale provides an opportunity for the National FFA Organization (FFA), 4-H, youth Grange and independent youth members of churhcill County to exhibit their livestock projects before the public, thus promoting and providing the incentive for achieving excellence in livestock production, skills, and practices.

And this is a perfect chance to support our local youth as they exhibit their beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits, and poultry breeding and market project animals.

Breeding animals take the ring on Thursday, April 27 at 10 a.m. while market animals will be shown on Friday, April 28 starting at 9 a.m. in two rings. The sale is Saturday, April 29 starting at 1 p.m. so plan to come early to register if buying an animal. You can also walk around and see all the livestock as well and meet the youth who raised them.

Need meat for your dinner table? Partner with family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers to purchase a locally raised animal and split the meat. Details on doing so: https://www.churchillcountynv.gov/DocumentCenter/View/17124/2023-CCJLS-Buyers-Supporter-Sponsor-Packet

Local youth “walked the town” with their animals on April 14 to promote the Churchill County Junior Livestock Show & Sale. This activity continues this week at various locations in Fallon.
